Privacy Policy

The short version: your job search is personal, so JobSphire is built local-first. Your applications, notes and CVs live in your browser on your device, not in a database we mine, sell or show to recruiters.

What we store, and where

On your device: your tracked applications, pipeline stages, notes, CV files, cover letters, preferences and chat history are stored in your browser's local storage, with an automatic on-device backup so a cleared cache doesn't wipe your search.

On our servers: your account itself, email address, display name and a securely hashed password (or your Google identity if you sign in with Google). That's what makes signing in from another device possible. We never store your password in plain text.

AI features and your data

AI personalisation is off by default. When you enable it in Settings, the content you choose (for example your CV text or pipeline stats) is sent to our AI provider to generate your reply, and is not used to train models. Turn it off any time. The switch is honest.

Analytics

Usage analytics are opt-in and anonymised. If you never enable them, nothing is tracked.

Your rights

Export everything as JSON or erase your local data from Settings → Data Export at any time, no support ticket, no waiting period. To delete your server-side account, email us and it's done within 30 days.

By creating an account you agree to these terms. They're short because the product is honest.

The service

JobSphire aggregates job listings from third-party sources, helps you track applications and provides AI assistance for CVs, cover letters and interview preparation. Job listings link to the original source; we don't control their content, accuracy or availability.

AI assistance, you stay in charge

AI-generated drafts (answers, letters, insights) are suggestions. You review and approve everything before it's used. AI can make mistakes, check important claims, especially anything factual in an application you submit.

Fair use

Don't abuse the service: no scraping our APIs, no automated bulk account creation, no using the platform to spam employers, and no attempting to breach other users' data. We rate-limit and lock accounts that try.

Liability

JobSphire is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we can't guarantee job outcomes, listing accuracy or uninterrupted availability, and we're not liable for decisions made based on AI suggestions.

Cookies

We use exactly two cookies, both strictly functional: a secure, httpOnly session cookie that keeps you signed in, and a lightweight flag that tells the app you're authenticated. No advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, no third-party pixels.
